Debbie Petry, CEO and advocate for children’s mental health, is an inspiration. After facing her own struggles as a parent trying to support her kids emotionally, she set out to help other parents and children.
Debbie had never been a ‘gamer’ – or a game developer for that matter – but that didn’t stop her from creating The Guardians of Peace, an epic and action-packed sci-fi adventure game. Children set off on an exhilarating mission that revolves around a young squire’s quest to pass the 7 trials and become a guardian of peace. He must overcome his inner and outer darklings to save Tilandia, a unique futuristic utopian society that uses the energies of the universe to live in harmony with the cosmos from the menacing Commander Selfish.
The journey sparks the imagination, teaching kids valuable life skills like mindfulness, meditation and emotional resilience, while providing a healthy and fun way to use screen time.
Debbie has gained local and national attention appearing on a wide range of media platforms, including Dr. Oz and WFLA. She is eager to introduce the world to The Guardians of Peace and hopes it will ultimately become a key resource for educators and therapists in addressing the growing need for effective mental health support for children.
